CMIC Committee Meeting held on 24 July 2024 at The Bull’s Head, Burslem, Stoke on Trent.
The meeting was held at the Bull as the landlord, Bob Crumpton, is retiring from the pub after 20 successful years – even more valuable experience in the pub trade.
There was 1 apology for the meeting.
The minutes of the meeting held on June 24 were approved.
The Secretary advised on matters arising from the previous meeting, particularly the dates of investee company AGMs to be attended by members of the Committee. Also reference was made to the sale of Marston’s 40% stake on CMBC which had been announced. It was noted that Marston’s will no longer brew beer.
The accounts for the month of June had been circulated and were accepted without amendment.
Administration: it was confirmed that the share purchases agreed at the June meeting viz Sheps, Thwaites, and TFA (Twickenham Fine Ales) had been completed.
Brewery Trips: it was confirmed that the list of planned trips had been posted onto the website.
AGM 2025: members were contacting potential speakers for the meeting and awaiting confirmation of the venue and dates.
